The Wallcovering Collective provided Type II commercial-grade vinyl wall coverings with custom print artwork for Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island, NSW. The contemporary design enhances the hotel’s ambiance, forging a deep connection with the land’s story.

The design is based on a digitalised copy of a woodcut artwork tragically lost in the Kangaroo Island bushfires. The digital reproduction captures the original’s intricate details, allowing this lost piece of history and nature’s beauty to live on in contemporary spaces.

The design serves as a tribute to both the art and the resilience of the local community, showcasing the power of design to honor the past while shaping the future.
